Friday – Caitlyn’s 18th Birthday
The weekend kicked off on Friday night with a private celebration as Caitlyn marked her 18th birthday surrounded by friends and family. The room was full of good spirits, music, and plenty of laughter as everyone made the most of a long‑awaited milestone evening. Guests took turns stepping up to the themed portrait wall, where we captured everything from polished poses to spontaneous, goofy moments. As the night went on, the dance floor filled, drinks flowed, and the energy never dipped – exactly how an 18th should be remembered.
Saturday – Aberdeen Combat Show 3
Saturday took me to the Rich Energy Arena for Aberdeen Combat Show 3, an evening of Muay Thai action featuring everyone from first‑time fighters to experienced warriors. Bout after bout delivered intensity, heart, and drama, with athletes going to war in search of the win. It was a night that had a bit of everything: blood, knockouts, hand‑raised winners, and tough learning curves for those who will come back stronger next time. From ring walk to final bell, the atmosphere was electric and the images reflect every punch, kick, and emotional high and low.
Sunday – U15 Semi-Final in Newmachar
On Sunday, the focus switched to grassroots football at the Charlie Gordon pitch in Newmachar for the U15 Stonehaven Youth semi-final between Newmachar United and Westdyke Community Club. The weather was far from ideal and the well‑used pitch made for a challenging surface, with cold conditions and uneven ground disrupting any hopes of free‑flowing passing football. Both teams dug in and worked hard despite the conditions, but it was Westdyke who made their chances count, running out 2–0 winners and booking their place in the final.
It was a tough, gritty match to cover, but the determination on display from both sides made it a fitting end to a packed weekend of shooting.
