Being granted all-area media access at Granite City Festival in Aberdeen was an excellent opportunity and a valuable addition to my event photography experience. It allowed me to document the day from a unique perspective, capturing the atmosphere, performances, and audience reactions throughout the event. Granite City Festival continues to establish itself as an important fixture in Aberdeen’s live music calendar, attracting large crowds for a full day of electronic music and entertainment.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the day was the close access to both the artists and the audience. The performers delivered outstanding sets, while the crowd brought exceptional energy and enthusiasm, creating the kind of atmosphere that makes live event photography so compelling. Being able to work in that environment and capture genuine moments as they happened was both professionally satisfying and creatively inspiring.
This experience has reinforced my interest in building further opportunities within live music and event photography. I am keen to continue developing my work in these settings, gaining more time on the ground, and expanding my experience across future festivals and events. Each opportunity like this helps strengthen both my portfolio and my ability to deliver high-quality coverage in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
